This stretch of shoreline can easily be accessed at 948 Beach Road and promises to be a place where you can work on a tan, explore the water, or dig your toes into the sand with ease. Visitors will still find the historic pavilion on-site that was designed by Edward Seibert who learned his trade at the renowned Sarasota School of Architecture. This beach enjoys a wonderful boat ramp as well as a playground and horseshoe pit too. Compared to Siesta Beach, Turtle Beach has smaller crowds and is loved by those with a passion for wildlife watching too.
For an even more secluded beach going experience, follow up Turtle Beach today with at rip to Palmer Point Beach. Located on the south end of Siesta Key, this beach is truly a place of tranquility. It’s defined by its gently sloping shoreline and dune system. Here, visitors will find a plethora of coastal vegetation as well as gopher tortoises! It’s a wonderful place for a stroll on the sand and provides access to a fishing pier as well.
Day 3: Crescent Beach
The final day of your Siesta Key beach adventure is focused on natural beauty and access to exploration. You’ll be heading to Crescent Beach today which is only about 2 miles south of Siesta Key Village. Do note that there isn’t public parking available for this beach, so you’ll want to plan on walking in. Once you arrive, the effort will be worth your while. Crescent Beach is known and loved for its powder-soft sand and endless blue waves. It’s a popular beach stop in the area where visitors often take time to enjoy jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, boogie boarding and parasailing too! Whether you’re spending time sunbathing or enjoying a game of beach volleyball, it’s a beach that’s worth your while to enjoy. It’s also an access point to Point of Rocks! This is ideal for those up for discovery and adventure. Point of Rocks is comprised of limestone wall outcroppings surrounding tide pools. Here at the right times of day, you can see urchins, and crabs making their way through the water when the tide is at its lowest.
